Does this driver write anything to the TourBox itself? Having issues my TourBox Elite Plus connecting to mobile devices. #36

Hey, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, I'm new to this. When I got my TourBox Elite Plus, I only had Linux systems to run it on, so I grabbed tuxbox; it worked very well and I was able to get it to work over bluetooth. The problem that I've run into, is that now that I've tried to connect it to mobile devices like it should be able to, it can't. I've been troubleshooting with TourBox support for a while to get to the bottom of why that is. After a lot of troubleshooting and attempting to connect it to different devices, (Windows worked with the official Console app, Linux worked with TuxBox, Samsung S20 with the official Console App couldn't find it, Samsung S22 with the official Console App still couldn't find it even after an official firmware update to the hardware from the Windows test.). Checking the bluetooth signal just to be sure, it does definitely 100% show up and is transmitting properly; it just seems like the official software isn't able to identify the TourBox Elite Plus. I wanted to ask to do my due diligence; is there anything about TuxBox that can write firmware or can modify on-device chipset parameters? It almost seems like my TourBox Elite Plus is behaving like a TourBox Elite, and we'd been wondering if there's a If testing has been done with the TourBox Elite Plus with anyone else, has there been any issues with then taking it and trying to connect it to a mobile device after connecting the TourBox to a Linux system through TuxBox? Especially out of the box with a brand new TourBox? |

TuxBox does NOT write anything to the TourBox device and It cannot, and does not, update the firmware. Only official TourBox Console software can do that. The fact that it still works with Windows should be proof enough that TuxBox has not modified anything on the device. The problem is with their mobile driver. Again... rest assured, all that TuxBox does is read from the TourBox device. |

I was curios and tried it with my Hardware. I attempted to connect to my Google Pixel 9 with the official app, but the search with the app would always fail. I then looked in the Android Bluetooth settings if the TourBox hardware was showing up and it did. So it's just a unpolished setup experience of the Android app. |
