Here is how to fix. You need to delete the existing podspec and put this one in the directory instead:

RNMaterialYou.podspec (the filename is IMPORTANT)

The only other change required as disabling useMaterialYou on iOS, because I think it is missing a native module function or something. I just did this in lib/index.js:
