Microsoft.Diagnostics.EventFlow.Core distributed under MIT license but depends on libraries distributed on Microsoft Public License

While Microsoft.Diagnostics.EventFlow.Core is distributed under MIT license, it depends on Validation which is distributed under MS-PL license.

This taints the Microsoft.Diagnostics.EventFlow.Core license as MS-PL as well.

In general, its unusual for a Microsoft owned library to depends on libraries owned by individuals: Validation, Pegasus.

Can you managed without these dependencies?

Well, IANAL, but we do not reuse the source code from either Validation or Pegasus packages, so I do not think the fact that those use MS-PL would prevent any portion of EventFlow to be licensed via MIT license, and only MIT license.
