firstly want to give a huge thanks - love this app, so much better than trying to fiddle with the web UI on a mobile browser

my qbt instance has a large number of torrents - over 20,000+. as a result, whenever i first launch qBitController, it takes a long time to display the torrents. i also observe the same slowness when a status refresh takes place, presumably because ALL of them are being loaded & refreshed when the filter is set to "All". i would also frequently get a timeout before it could finish loading, until i raised the timeout threshold by a lot in the settings.

would a pagination feature help with this? i realize that such a large number of torrents in a singular instance is probably an outlier, but a pagination feature making it quicker to load would definitely be handy

It's definitely possible, but it would mean reworking how the whole torrent list works. Right now, filtering, sorting, and everything else is done on the client. With pagination, all of that would need to happen on the server instead, which would change how things are handled quite a bit.

It also wouldn't be as smooth as the current setup, so I'd need to make it an optional setting. That means supporting two completely different systems at the same time.

I'm not against the idea at all. I actually thought about adding it years ago and even opened #5, which is related to this issue. But it's a tough one to implement, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever get around to doing it.
