Default note sort

I set my default note sort to Last Modified in the setting page:

When I show all notes, it always defaults to this:

It doesn't seem to be using the setting of sort by last modified date. Am I understanding this setting correctly?

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! You’re absolutely right—the sort function in the user preferences isn’t working yet. This setting is currently just a placeholder for a future feature I had planned but never got around to implementing.

Right now, the sorting behavior in Flatnotes-Enhanced remains the same as in the original Flatnotes, which doesn’t allow users to set a preferred sort order. My intention was to add this functionality so you could control how notes appear in the search list, but it slipped through the cracks during development.

I’ve added this to my backlog and will investigate how to implement it properly. If it’s feasible, I’ll include it in a future release.

For now, please ignore this setting—it doesn’t do anything yet. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for your understanding!
