Twig namespacing?

Hello,

Is it possible to do Twig namespacing in Cecil? I'm trying to reference components in a different folder to the layouts folder by doing import "../components/hero/component.macro.twig" as hero, and I get the error message Looks like you try to load a template outside configured directories (../components/hero/component.macro.twig)

In Twig / PHP projects I would have usually done put this in the bootstrap.php $loader->addPath( dirname(__DIR__). '/twig/src/components', 'components');, or I would have used the twig.yaml file to add

# config/packages/twig.yaml
twig:
    # ...
    paths:
        '%kernel.project_dir%/twig/src/components': components

So that I can use import "@components/hero/component.macro.twig" as hero

Any help would be appreciated :)

Namespacing is not required in your case : you can put your macros in a subdir of the layouts directory, then import them.

Example:

|    |_ form.macro.twig
|  |_ test-macros.html.twig <- layout imports form.macro.twig macro
|_ content
  |_ test-macros.md <- page uses test-macros.html.twig layout

Hi @ArnaudLigny. Thanks for the response! We're using the project with Storybook / Twig loader, kind of like a mono repo, so both systems are sharing the same components folder at the top level. We did get it working with a symlink, but changes to the symlinked folder weren't triggering an auto refresh of the Cecil page the components appear on.

It would be great if we could use twig namespacing to link to a folder that we don't necessarily want to put in the layouts.

I did try putting the namespacing in the config.yaml but I don't think that picks it up.
