Protocol S-A: "The Resurrection"

Deep Trauma Processing with Full Somatic Release

Duration: 2-4 hours
Active Layers: 1 (Core), 2 (Environment), 3 (PBM), 4 (Cymatics), 5 (PEMF), 8 (Biometrics)

Purpose: This protocol extends Protocol A (The Hunter) to include full body engagement. Where the standard Hunter protocol processes trauma neurologically, The Resurrection adds somatic release—allowing the body to discharge stored trauma through physical processes (shaking, sweating, temperature changes, movement).

Best For:

  • Trauma stored in the body (chronic pain, tension, "body memories")
  • When standard Protocol A hits a plateau
  • Complex PTSD with somatic symptoms
  • Grief that hasn't fully processed
  • Pre-verbal or developmental trauma

S-A Configuration

S-A Environment (Layer 2)

  • Temperature: 72-76°F (22-24°C)
  • Lighting: Complete darkness or dim red
  • Sound: Sanctuary should be sound-isolated
  • Position: Reclined or supine

S-A H.A.L.O. Core (Layer 1)

  • Standard Protocol A configuration
  • tVNS ready (start at 0)
  • Bilateral audio queued

S-A PBM (Layer 3)

  • Initial Phase: 660nm dominant (surface)
  • Processing Phase: 850nm dominant (deep tissue)
  • Integration Phase: Both wavelengths, pulsing to breath

S-A Cymatics (Layer 4)

  • Initial: 60Hz (general relaxation)
  • Processing: 40Hz (gamma break)
  • Integration: 8Hz (alpha support)

S-A PEMF (Layer 5)

  • Baseline: 7.83Hz Schumann continuous
  • Processing: Ready for Rescue burst if needed
  • Integration: 4Hz delta induction

S-A Biometrics (Layer 8)

  • HRV continuous monitoring
  • GSR for arousal tracking
  • Temperature (optional)

S-A Execution Sequence

Phase 1: Descent & Calibration (30 minutes)

Objective: Establish deep parasympathetic baseline before engaging trauma material.

  1. Enter Sanctuary

    • Settle into position
    • Attach all sensors
    • Begin biometric recording
    • Start PBM at low intensity
    • Start cymatics at 60Hz, low amplitude
  2. Progressive Relaxation

    • Begin breathing protocol: 4-7-8 pattern
    • Mentally scan body from feet to head
    • Note areas of tension without changing them
    • Allow gravity to hold you
  3. Establish Baseline

    • Wait for HRV coherence to stabilize
    • Alpha/Beta ratio should reach >0.8
    • GSR should flatten
    • Minimum 20 minutes in baseline before proceeding
  4. PEMF Activation

    • Begin Schumann resonance field
    • Notice any subtle body sensations
    • Continue breathing

Exit Criteria for Phase 1:

  • HRV coherence stable for 10+ minutes
  • Alpha/Beta ratio >0.8
  • GSR stable baseline
  • Subjective sense of safety/calm

Phase 2: Summoning (30-60 minutes)

Objective: Deliberately activate trauma material while maintaining the safety container.

  1. Set Target

    • Bring the specific memory/feeling/trigger to mind
    • Don't force—allow it to arise
    • Rate initial SUDS (0-10)
    • Note where it lives in the body
  2. Activate Bilateral

    • Start bilateral audio
    • Match cymatics frequency to audio panning rate
    • tVNS at 0 (ready to increase)
  3. Allow Activation

    • Let the emotional charge rise
    • Do not suppress or control
    • Watch for "Shadow Spike" detection
    • When triggered: slowly increase tVNS
  4. Somatic Tracking (Key Sanctuary Addition)

    • As emotions arise, track body sensations:
      • Where is the sensation strongest?
      • What is its shape, color, temperature, texture?
      • Does it want to move?
    • Allow micro-movements:
      • Fingers might twitch
      • Legs might want to shake
      • Face might contort
      • DO NOT SUPPRESS THESE—they are release
  5. Layer Coordination

    • If overwhelm detected:
      • PBM shifts to pulsing (breath pace)
      • Cymatics drops to 40Hz burst
      • PEMF delivers Rescue burst
    • If processing smoothly:
      • Maintain steady state
      • Allow natural progression

What to Expect:

  • Waves of emotion (may peak multiple times)
  • Physical sensations intensifying then releasing
  • Involuntary movements (shaking, tremoring)
  • Temperature changes (sweating or chilling)
  • Crying, vocalizing, or holding breath
  • Images, memories, or "knowing" arising

Phase 3: The Discharge (30-90 minutes)

Objective: Complete the somatic trauma cycle that was interrupted during the original event.

  1. Follow the Body

    • The body knows how to complete the cycle
    • Your job is to not interfere
    • Trust tremoring, shaking, temperature shifts
    • This is the Polyvagal "discharge" phase
  2. Pendulation

    • If intensity becomes overwhelming:
      • Briefly shift attention to feet/hands (peripheral)
      • Then return to the sensation
      • This "pendulation" builds capacity
    • Allow natural rhythm of approach/retreat
  3. Watch for Completion Signs

    • Deep spontaneous breath (sigh or yawn)
    • Warmth spreading through body
    • Sense of spaciousness
    • SUDS dropping
    • "Softening" of the sensation
    • HRV coherence improving
  4. Multiple Cycles

    • Trauma often releases in layers
    • After one discharge, another layer may emerge
    • Allow 2-4 cycles maximum per session
    • Know when to stop: If new material stops arising naturally

Phase 4: Integration (30-45 minutes)

Objective: Allow the nervous system to consolidate the new state.

  1. Transition Signals

    • Reduce bilateral audio to background
    • Cymatics shifts to 8Hz alpha
    • PBM dims to minimum
    • tVNS reduces to minimal/off
  2. Still Point

    • Remain completely still
    • Stop tracking/observing
    • Allow mind to be blank
    • This rest is when reconsolidation happens
  3. Body Scan

    • After 15+ minutes of rest, gently scan body
    • Notice what has changed
    • Areas that were tight may be soft
    • Pain may have shifted or released
  4. Gratitude

    • Brief internal acknowledgment
    • Thank the body for its wisdom
    • Set intention to integrate the work

Phase 5: Emergence (15-30 minutes)

Objective: Return to normal waking consciousness safely.

  1. Gradual Return

    • Very slowly increase lighting (if controllable)
    • Cymatics gradually reduces
    • PBM off
    • PEMF continues as grounding
  2. Reanimation

    • Begin with small movements (fingers, toes)
    • Gradually increase (hands, feet, arms, legs)
    • Allow stretching
    • No sudden movements
  3. Exit Sanctuary

    • Sit up slowly (may be dizzy)
    • Feet on ground
    • Remove sensors
    • Drink water
  4. Grounding

    • Walk barefoot if possible
    • Splash cold water on face
    • Eat light food (protein preferred)
    • No driving for at least 1 hour
  5. Recording

    • Journal immediately
    • Voice memo if writing difficult
    • Capture: images, insights, body changes, SUDS before/after
