I looked at the mac installation, a lot of words just to say run a script, a script that ran another script, and that script was hundreds of lines just to set the PATH π€¦ββοΈ to adapt to its insistence on having all its files and binaries in its own directory in ~ π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ. And OMG the underscores.
I was going to try an app SoundThread I saw in a video that uses cdp, but changed my mind, installation is too janky for me.
I suggest you ditch all this and follow standards, allow the data to live in a lib directory, the binaries in a bin directories, and make install packages for homebrew, apt, and anything else popular on linux today, flat packs or whatever.
