You can import files over existing offsets you have to find, that are not provided by mage. But you cant load a file. Importing a tileset should not check for validity of gfx offset. you only need that to display it. The option to open a tiletable and a gfx file and import to freespace without manually setting the address is missing from MAGE entirely.
if that is too much:
The Import tab should have the option to "Import Binary to Freespace" that automatically provides and uses an aligned freespace address.
Right now, MAGE does not allow you to import a tile table in the TTE Offset tab, while there is no offset selected. It should either:
- allow you to import a tiletable into the the next available freespace if no offset is given
- give you the ability to find an aligned offset in freespace with a specific size
