Installation issues on Mac OS X #9

Hi there,
One of my repositories, AeroSandbox, has this xfoil package as a soft dependency as of last week.
Since then, several users have reported installation issues with pip install xfoil, and I wanted to forward those on to you (see link below). This problem seems to be exclusively limited to Mac OS X users. All Windows users seem to be able to install without problems, and I have no data on Linux systems.
Any idea what might be causing this?
