Do not install this package if any of the following are true:

• Your application is running in Azure App Services. Install the AAS extension instead.

But the documentation https://docs.datadoghq.com/serverless/azure_app_services/azure_app_services_linux/?tab=net&site=us3 states in the first step to

Add the Datadog.Trace.Bundle Nuget package to your project.

Could you please update contradictory documentation.

Thank you for pointing this out. I will look into updating all the docs related to Azure App Services and Azure Functions soon. For now, follow the docs here: https://docs.datadoghq.com/serverless/azure_app_services/

This line below from the nuget's README file needs to be updated. Azure App Services only supports site extensions on Windows, not on Linux.

Thank you for your reply. For a beginner its really hard to differentiate between the different solutions as the Linux AAS sidecar containers are called extensions in some places too. It would be nice to be able to use the sidecar container only with opentelemetry sdk and without other code changes.

@lucaspimentel Could you please give me a hint whether it is possible to use the sidecar container with the opentelemetry sdk only? It was possible with the wrapper script. But the wrapper script got deprecated recently.
