Poor Documentaion

I couldn't figure out what commands to pass or the usage of the arguments, until an hour of debugging, and trying commands back and forth, can you make the documentation better, with more examples.
And the GUI 4.0.9 launches but doesn't appear as a window, only in the background, the older versions 4.0.8 did work

Documentation does need to be updated, but did you read the Wiki page? It's still accurate to the latest (and upcoming) release.

Thanks for responding, and sorry for the Issue title, I was frustrated yesterday, since the CLI wasn't intuitive enough for me, even when I read the whole Wiki, it still toke me time to figure out the commands I wanted, the arguments syntax and its various usages on the RDX, but once I got it working, it worked flawlessly.

I would still recommend having examples for all the arguments listed in the Wiki and showing how you can use each argument, because it helps people save time and functions as a Features showcase as well!

For the 4.0.9 GUI, the problem is that:
When I open the EXE, nothing happens, no errors, no window opens.
So I checked the Task manager, and I could see the process running, and to confirm, I tried to delete the EXE file, and it wasn't allowed, until I terminated the process.
While the 4.0.8 Alpha (4.0.7) GUI did open for me.

BTW its not a necessity for me to use the GUI, since I like the RDX more.

SmartImage is still tested only on Windows 10 (as I'm using Windows 10 indefinitely); however it should still work on Windows 11.

Try these steps (while recording a video again; the old video is no longer available):

1. Delete all other SmartImage executables along with their configuration files. This shouldn't matter but it's worth isolating other factors.
2. Run 4.0.9 using the Terminal to see if any output is returned
3. See if the directory containing SmartImage is in the environment PATH variable. Again, this shouldn't matter.

In regards to the GUI version, it's being rewritten using Avalonia and the Rdx version is taking priority in terms of development.

It seems the FlareSolverr option is set to True in the 4.0.9 config. The default value should be False.

I wonder if there is a regression with 4.0.9 and FlareSolverr handling. It may be attempting to connect to a FlareSolverr instance automatically and timing out.

1. Try setting FlareSolverr to False in the 4.0.9 config

2. Check the logs in Event Viewer → Application for entries related to SmartImage.

I did try setting everything to False and checked the Event viewer last week on the 4.0.9 GUI before I opened this issue.
Tried it now with fresh download and the same problem occurred, here the Video
I also did a deep check on the Event viewer off recording and nothing unusual was there as well.

Anyhow... since I'm only using the Rdx and you are rewriting the GUI, and no body else is complaining, I don’t think its a real issue, its just my PC being a special case.

I would kinda recommend to add a logging feature to the GUI that print system errors or something into a file.log, just in case if anyone else has an "issue" like mine in the future.

I do think your PC is an edge case. There have been issues in the past caused by particular OS configurations.

It does log internally, but yes generating a log file for issues is something I had planned but got sidetracked.

Rdx 1.2.0 will be released in a few days. There is a discussion where you can see a demo preview and add any recommendations or thoughts.
