Description

@sloanfinger

This page never made it to production on the existing website. You can view the proposed implementation on PR #111. The goal of this page is to encourage campus departments or companies to partner with us in service of their goals.

Corporate Partnerships

The goal of this section is to encourage companies to partner with us.

Generally, there are two ways that we partner with companies: they can sponsor the club at-large, or they can co-host a workshop.

  • By sponsoring the club, we can feature the company's brand on our website and in other promotional materials.
  • By co-hosting a workshop, companies allow for student developers to learn about and engage with their brand, and gain experience working with technologies used within or pioneered by the company.

A potential framing for the funnel is to restate the values and mission of the club, emphasizing those which are applicable in a professional, corporate environment, and saying "if our values align" that working with DevDogs would be a good investment.

Campus Partnerships

This section is similar to the corporate partnerships page, except the audience is departments at USG institutions.

Think big: these can be programs from other colleges at UGA (like business innovation programs within Terry) or even non-UGA colleges. UGA's Computer Science student body doesn't have a big "builder" or "startup" culture like comparable programs across the state or country, and that's something DevDogs is interested in helping to cultivate in Athens. Like with the previous section, emphasize our club's values and missions, and encourage departments with similar goals to get in touch.

Provide a link to either mailto:devdogs@uga.edu or a "Contact Us" page.
