+Dr [Federico Bianchini](https://www.mn.uio.no/bils/english/people/fredebi/),
+Senior Engineer at the Department of Biosciences at the University of Oslo (UiO) and long-time member of ELIXIR Norway,
+has been appointed as interim co-lead of the ELIXIR Research Data Management (RDM) Community for 2026.
+
+The [ELIXIR RDM Community](https://elixir-europe.org/communities/research-data-management) supports topics including
+Data Management Plans (DMPs), data brokering, ontologies, metadata standards, AI-readiness, RDM policies, and other emerging area.
+Its scope will continue to evolve in response to technological advances and stakeholder needs.
+
+With over 250 registered members, the Community is active, engaged, and professionally supportive,
+benefitting both individual members and their institutions.
+Community members contribute to key RDM ecosystem resources, including the [RDMkit](https://rdmkit.elixir-europe.org/), [FAIR Cookbook](https://faircookbook.elixir-europe.org/content/home.html), [Data Stewardship Wizard (DSW)](https://ds-wizard.org/), [TeSS](https://tess.elixir-europe.org/), and the [Data Stewardship Handbook](https://elixir-europe.github.io/ds-handbook/).
+These resources provide practical guidance and best practices, and are widely used by RDM professionals in the life sciences.

+Bianchini, who is already a member of the editorial board of RDMkit, an annotator on TeSS, a power user of DSW, and a liaison 
+to FAIRsharing via the [Community Champions Programme](https://fairsharing.org/community_champions),
+sees this role as a natural continuation of his line of work and as a formal recognition of the efforts of ELIXIR Norway over the years on Research Data Management and FAIR.
