[Bug]: AskUserQuestion tool doesn't provide answer to Claude Code

Steps to reproduce

1. Start a new Chat with Claude Code, Opus 4.7, Extra High, 1M context
2. Write "Ask me a question with 3 options, and then tell me which one I picked!"
3. The "Ask question" UI pops up
4. Choose any option, for example the second one
5. Claude responds with "Looks like the answer didn't come through (the response is empty).

Expected behavior

Claude should get my selected or typed answer.

Actual behavior

It doesn't get any answer, so it just chooses anything it thinks is reasonable.
