black screen output

Hey, I am trying to run the introduction tutorial for python, but it is not working as I expected. If i run the renderer step in the pipeline everything is going well. But if i move on to the nonlocalmeans step, my output is a black screen. The same for when im trying to stream. Do someone have a solution for this?

Do you mean that the first rendering example with a window in this tutorial https://fast-imaging.github.io/python-tutorial-intro.html works fine, while the next example, with the NLM, only shows a black screen?

I recommend using FAST in a regular python environment (not anaconda etc.).
The OpenCL platform is probably the same as the manufacturer of your GPU.

Ok, I haven't tested FAST on an AMD OpenCL platform for a long time.
Maybe there is some issue there.

Because I really would like to use FAST

I don't think I have an AMD machine available for testing at the moment.

If you are very eager to test FAST you can try the following:

1. Install PoCL, see the windows installers here: https://github.com/pocl/pocl/releases/tag/v7.0
2. Download the latest python wheel from the artifacts here: https://github.com/FAST-Imaging/FAST/actions/runs/22953589875
3. Install the python wheel, e.g. pip install pyfast-4.17.2-abi3-win_amd64.whl
4. Before you start python, set the following environment variable: FAST_OPENCL_PLATFORM=pocl. If you are using powershell on windows, I think it should be something like this: $env:FAST_OPENCL_PLATFORM = "pocl". There is a command called systemCheck which will print out which OpenCL platform you are using.
