MIDI is a sequenced format, unlike MP3, WAV or OGG, which are streamed. Unlike MOD or XM, MIDI needs a synthesizer to output audio. The Windows default is Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth

An option where you can select between the MIDI Synths on your PC
