Improved Loading Screens

This is a visual mod for The Long Dark by Hinterland Studios

Improved Loading Screens improves the game's loading screens by adding several features:

  • Gameplay tips and region hints display regardless of difficulty level.
  • Custom gameplay and region tips.
  • Region specific loading screen backgrounds.
  • Custom loading screen backgrounds from in-game screenshots.
  • Disable loading screens and tips for a pure black screen.
  • Full English and French Localization.
  • Customizable with the Mod Settings menu.

Planned Features

  • Support for custom modded regions.
  • More loading screens and hints/tips.

Known Issues

  • When travelling between regions, the mod will show backgrounds for the region you came from instead of the region you are travelling to.

Installation

  • Install MelonLoader by downloading and running MelonLoader.Installer.exe
  • Install the following dependencies in your mods folder:
