I would like to have the option for both frequent backups that get deleted AND e.g. one backup per week that never gets deleted at the same time. Right now you can change the configs to do either, but not both.

This allows you to keep a little history of how your base grew over time, maybe making cool videos or picture galleries later.

You can look into using Forge Essentials backup module for that. It has a backup retention feature that can backup on a Daily and Weekly schedule in addition to a configured number of backups.

As for the Devs, you are welcome to borrow my retention logic if so desired.

Yea, feel free to borrow the logic I did a while back in FE. (I ran into the same issue there were the config said it could do daily and weekly backups but it wasn't doing so.)
