[workr] Cut the v1.1 release after #42 #43 complete #44

@zdz2101

Description

@zdz2101

Summary

Cut workr@v1.1.0 once #42 and #43 are merged. This is the tagged release that gismo.library will pin in Gilead-BioStats/gismo.library#90.

Problem / Rationale

A branch can be force-pushed; a tag cannot. Without a tag, gismo.library's caller (Gilead-BioStats/gismo.library#90) can't honor the "pin by tag" invariant. A minor bump is appropriate because:

Scope

In scope: Bump DESCRIPTION Version to 1.1.0; tag the release; write release notes calling out the install-vs-source change (#42), new test coverage (#43), and that pkgManifest / pkgListFromManifest / the reusable manifest.yaml / init-manifest.yaml workflows are now officially supported.
Out of scope: Updating gismo.library to consume the tag (Gilead-BioStats/gismo.library#90).

Proposed Approach

  1. Confirm [workr] Switch manifest.yaml from source()-ing files to installing the package #42 and [workr] Add testthat coverage for pull_workflows and resolve_package #43 are merged to main.
  2. Bump DESCRIPTION Version to 1.1.0.
  3. Tag workr@v1.1.0 on main.
  4. Write release notes per scope.

QC Approach

  • User Tests (release page renders; nightly-manifest.yaml on workr runs green against v1.1.0)
