What is "Waiting for valid conditions"?

Hi everyone, I'm a new Ginger Wallet user trying to complete my first CoinJoin. When I open the app, it usually performs a CoinJoin automatically, but after it finishes, it gets stuck on "Waiting for valid conditions." What are those valid conditions? Do I need to adjust something in my settings? It's been stuck there for several hours waiting for those conditions without attempting another CoinJoin. Thanks so much for your help!

I checked the current code for this status.

Waiting for valid conditions is a bit misleading here. It is not one single named condition in the CoinJoin flow. In the UI it is the generic fallback message when CoinJoin tried to start, but the real reason did not match one of the more specific messages.

There are separate messages for things like:

• waiting for confirmed funds
• only immature coins available
• excluded or rejected coins
• backend not synchronized
• fee limits being too high
• send workflow still open

If none of those match, it falls back to this generic text.

So if it stays there for several hours, I would not treat that as the normal auto wait. The normal auto start delay in the app is only a few minutes, not hours.

What I would check first:

• make sure you have at least one confirmed coin that is still eligible for CoinJoin
• make sure the coin is not excluded
• make sure there is no send dialog or send workflow still open
• make sure the wallet is fully synced and the backend connection is healthy
• if the play button is available, try starting CoinJoin once manually instead of waiting for auto start

If it keeps happening, the most useful next step is probably logs. The code has more detailed internal error states than this UI label shows, so the logs around the failed start should tell you much more than Waiting for valid conditions does.
