The key is OUTPUT_STORAGE_PATH seems to be relative to the original file location? so something in myDirectory will output to myDirectory/myDirectory

Confirmed - OUTPUT_STORAGE_PATH is being resolved relative to the source file's directory rather than the bucket root, so files in myDirectory end up at myDirectory/myDirectory/.... This is tracked on the backlog as a bug in how the output path is joined.
