[Crash Report] Crash when using eyedropper on Friefox

Steps To Reproduce

1. Open new editor window
2. Click on "eyedropper" icon
3. Click anywhere in the drawing canvas -> crash

Reproducible on https://dev.graphite.art too.

Additional Details
Reproducible in "private window" and in a new Firefox profile with no add-ons.
Couldn't reproduce it in LibreWolf (Firefox derived browser) and Chromium.

Yes, just the new document with the default size and the white rectangle artboard

BTW, using the eyedropper in LibreWolf doesn't crash but it doesn't work either (no "circle" is displayed when the mouse button is pressed).

I have not managed to reproduce this, but maybe others can comment about if they encounter something similar here.

LibreWolf likely does not have WebGPU enabled. You can confirm this by looking at the render mode options:

Firefox on Windows recently added support for WebGPU to stable. It is possible there is some sort of bug or inconsistency in the implementation. Perhaps you could try a sample that reads back some textures https://webgpu.github.io/webgpu-samples/?sample=bitonicSort. Does this work or does it produce an error?

If you open the browser console (typically F12) do you have any relevant logs e.g. Failed to get mapped range?

You're right, LibreWolf doesn't have WebGPU enabled by default. The eyedropper works fine if it's enabled (e.g. no crash, shows the "circle"). The version is 153.0.3-1.

Perhaps you could try a sample that reads back some textures https://webgpu.github.io/webgpu-samples/?sample=bitonicSort. Does this work or does it produce an error?

In Firefox (153.0.3), WebGPU is enabled by default and "Bitonic Sort" sample works fine, yet there is the following warning in the console:

User requested a WebGPU adapter with `featureLevel: "compatibility"`, which is not yet supported; returning a "core"-defaulting adapter for now. Subscribe to <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1905951> for updates on its development in Firefox.

I tried the other WebGPU samples too and only these two do not work for me:
