No audio capture hardware detected

So I bought an audio capture board from here and fitted it to my RGBtoHDMI Amiga 500 angled adapter I bought from here, in the manner described here.
I've loaded the Beta 66 release and done the Amiga specific part (video works as expected), but when I go to the audio menu and turn audio capture 'on' it says 'no audio capture hardware detected' or something similar to that effect.
Should I just recheck my soler points or am I running across the two/one GPIO issue? (I don't have a Gotec, but I do have a PiStorm...)

BTW is there a more appropriate forum for discussions like these, or am I in the right place?

No, the 2/1 GPIO would not result in that sort of problem (you would get garbage on the screen)
The not detected error means that it can't see the appropriate clock signals on various pins and that could be due to fitting the board to the wrong pins or not soldering fully through the plated hole.
Can you post a photo of the fitted board.

Guess those sunken solder points are the problem? They should all "spill out" a bit to connect both from above and below..?

This has additional logging for audio issues that might show where the problem is/

Use the save log and EDID option in the info menu and post log.txt from the SD card

It looks like there is no valid clock signal on Pin 10. The other signals look OK I think.

This could be caused by a number of things:

1. no connection between the audio board and the Pi zero. (Try testing continuity between the two sides) Sometimes this can be caused by flux on the 40 pin header or socket which can be fixed by using isopropyl alcohol.
2. The pin is shorted to an adjacent pin or track
3. The pin is also connected to something else on the particular RGBtoHDMI design you are using (This was the case with an A600 board which mistakenly grounded a different previously unused pin)
4. That GPIO pin on the Pi zero is damaged or not soldered properly. (Try a different Pi zero)
5. The audio board is faulty (although they are tested on a pogo pin tester before shipping)

If you have an oscilloscope you could check the signal on that pin.

I've concluded it's the Pi. Tried with another one and it detected the audio board (unfortunately, it was the Pi that powers my PiStorm, so I'll have to get another one...).

BTW, it i supposed to work with an 'original' Pi Zero (i.e. not a Pi Zero 2)?

Yes, the original Pi zero and the newer zero2 both work.
