Unable to update over old app version

I tried to upgrade to latest version but it shows Error installing and unable override the old app. I've tried different installers but no luck. It seems like I have to uninstall the old app and install the new one. I don't want to do this as I've to login again and my app settings will be lost. How to fix it?

backup config on settings, uninstall and install again,after on settings recover
