# User Profile

> **Optional.** Copy this file to `_USER.md` (drop the `.template` suffix) and fill it in if you want consistent personalization across every OV design session.

## Identity

- **Name:** *(how the AI should address you — spell it exactly as you want it written into shipped artifacts. The AI will NOT guess your name from your username, file path, or git config.)*
- **Background:** *(one or two sentences — your professional or intellectual context.)*

## Communication preferences

- **Register:** peer / formal / casual *(default: peer)*
- **Critique style:** substantive / encouraging-then-substantive / encouraging-only *(default: substantive)*
- **Hedging:** minimal / moderate / cushioned *(default: minimal)*
- **Filler tolerance:** none / some / fine *(default: none — no "great question," "interesting," etc.)*

## OV-design preferences

- **Default depth for new OVs:** rigorous / pragmatic / lightweight *(default: rigorous)*
- **Default cartridge analog:** *(do you tend to think in cases? subjects? projects? engagements?)*
- **Substrate priorities:** *(which AI tools you expect to use OVs with — Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT Projects, Gemini, Cursor, Obsidian + Copilot, etc.)*
