Hey everyone, I could build this module (using a NOMPI header that compiles mpi function calls into something sequential if mpi is not available). At the same point this may be good also for the new streaming functionalities. Or is somebody working on this atm?

Hey, as far as I know, no one is currently working on this; and I agree that it would be nice to have. Note that we have one HiWi who is currently porting KaGen to a hybrid MPI+X parallelization scheme (allow generation via multiple threads per PE, ideally disable the MPI dependency via a CMake switch), so there might be some interference.
