<p class="abt-clg-detail ml-3 mt-3">RIT has an IEEE ‐ PES Student Chapter with student members of the Electrical and
Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering branches.
The chapter is very active and conducts an ample number of regular programs which
benefit the member community. The members also attend the PES technical lectures
conducted by the IEEE Student Bodies of other colleges. IEEE PES RIT SB Chapter
will be formed officially in August, 2017.
It organise technical, professional developmental and social activities, including
weekly workshops, LED/Solar kit workshops, inter college workshops, activities like
quizzes, as part of world energy conservation day celebrations, for students and
young professionals. Volunteers are welcome to help organise or collaborate on
activities and events and to share ideas to support our Chapter activities.

<p class="card-text abt-clg-detail">A talk was conducted on power system protection by Manoj Gopal T from KSEB on power system protection on February 15th 2019 in the EEE seminar hall. Around 40 IEEE members attended the lecture.</p>

<p class="card-text abt-clg-detail">A workshop on LED bulb making was conducted on 4th November 2018 by Eco Power in the electronics lab of the EEE department through the PES MDI funding. It was attended by 30 participants and around 300 LEDs were assembled.</p>
