Spotatui Native Streaming not working when switching networks

So basically, the native streaming wont work if u use a different network than u used when u authorized, ive tried this many times and every time i switch to my phone hotspot it will not work. which means i have to use the house wifi which is like 3mb/s.

Steps To Reproduce

1. run spotatui
2. authorize
3. switch wifi (vpn coukd also cause this idk i dont use one)
   4.. watch native streaming stop, restarting spotatui wont help

ive also tried getting it to authorize me again which now it will not do.

this might also be smth with my phone hotspot
also if u r super lazy u could just add an option at startup to make it ask u to authorize, also it still asks me to authorize like 5 times a day which is annoying

oh and also, when i switch to the house wifi and restart spotatui, native streaming instantly works

I never tried switching networks so I'll look into it.

About having to authorize alot it is a temporary workaround until I get it fixed properly. Without it there would just be errors without being able to run spotatui at all

idk if this is important but the other network is 5ghz and the other one 2.4ghz

@sampelss I tested this on current main and couldn’t reproduce it by authenticating on Wi‑Fi and then switching to a phone hotspot.

I also looked through the current auth/native-streaming code, and I don’t see anything that should bind authentication to the network you originally authorized on. There have been a couple of relevant fixes since 0.37.3, including the repeated re-auth
prompt bug and native streaming disconnect/recovery handling, so this may already be fixed on current main.

Could you retest against the latest main branch and let me know if it still happens there? If it does, please include:

1. Your OS
2. Whether playback stops immediately after the network switch or only when starting the next track
3. The exact status message shown in spotatui
4. Logs from running with RUST_LOG=info cargo run

If it still reproduces on current main, I can dig further, but at the moment I haven’t been able to confirm this as a current bug.
