Disc switching with .chd files

Disc switching does not work for me. I see the disc switcher in the UI with the disc options, but nothing happens on changing disc.

I am using .chd files: unsure if that would affect anything as the documentation examples use .cue / .bin.

Using latest NextUI release (v6.8.0).
