Wake toggle bug

I have my brick hammer switch set to turn down the brightness, turn off the rgb and set the volume to low. Now when I engage this, it works perfectly. But if I put it into sleep or engage the switch when it’s in sleep and wake the device the screen brightness is back up to the higher level rather than the low setting that should be engaged.
