More apps vs less apps

Just a discussion starter but wouldn't it make more sense to consolidate functionality into a few core apps instead of extending and fragmenting it more and more with a lot of apps and tools? (like step1 starter drag_folder_with_mandeye_data_and_drop_here-precision_forestry.exe which could be just default behavior for step1, like recently added laz2pcd tool which could be just a step2 menu option).

My intention was also to join raw viewer and recorder calibration with step1, single session viewer with step2

Good idea. I suggest to divide tools as GUI and console.
