GearHelper prevents many actions that involve combining items [BUG]

Describe the bug
An example is trying to combine 10 Rousing Fire into one Awakened Fire. When I try it, I get the error message: "GearHelper has been blocked from an action only available to the Blizzard UI. You can disable this addon and reload the UI.

To Reproduce
Combine 10 Rousing Fire into one Awakened Fire.

  Mage
• Your level
  70
• Your spec
  Arcane
• What item / quest is causing this issue
  Combining any set of items to make something else.
  Additional context
  Add any other context about the problem here.
  I have found that simply reloading without disabling GearHelper makes the problem go away (temporarily!).

It also happened when I tried to use a Battle Pet Bandage. Doing a /reload allowed me to use the bandage.

It may happen with any object used by mouse (flasks, quest objects, food, etc…)
It seems to be caused directly by Blizzard frame.xml, but we are looking for a way to fix it
