Miktex does not install in brand new Debian 13 Trixie installation

I have moved a laptop to Debian 13 Trixie and immediately went to install miktex but received the following

`sudo apt-get install miktex

I have another laptop running Debian 13 that I was able to install miktex on a few months ago.

I will apologise for being basically clueless about this but does anyone know of a workaround for the time being or whether Miktex will have a release for Debian 13 soon?

Hello.

Looks like Miktex do not support Debian 13 yet. However, if you want to install it now, you can download these 3 deb files from Debian 12 repository and install them manually: libboost-locale1.74.0_1.74.0+ds1-21_amd64.deb libboost-thread1.74.0_1.74.0+ds1-21_amd64.deb libicu72_72.1-3+deb12u1_amd64.deb. Then you should be able to install Miktex by using "apt-get install miktex" command.
