Hey!
Since I really no longer work with 802.11, I'm completely out of the loop. I'm getting bug fix PRs and at this point I feel no longer comfortable merging anything, as It would probably take me a few days just to understand what is being fixed in the first place!
The current state of the library is okayish. It's pretty extensive, but it's not perfect. There're lots of tests missing and the parsing could be more consistent (by which I mean to rely on nom for heavy lifting, but there's currently quite a bit of manual bit/byte handling happening).
IMO, libwifi is still a very good foundation for further work. It's just that I no longer use it myself.
So: If you are somebody that is enthusiastic about parsing libraries and who will probably work on 802.11 stuff for a bit longer, please give the idea of taking care of libwifi a thought :)
If you like the idea, please reach out ❤️
