Hi, this is just an informational note for the developers.
I can confirm that DesktopPuppet can be made to run on KDE Plasma as a workaround, at least on my setup (CachyOS + KDE).
Important clarifications:
• I did not modify the extension or its code
• I only installed GNOME desktop-related dependencies alongside KDE
• With those dependencies present, the avatar renders and works correctly
Without the GNOME components, it’s understandable why DesktopPuppet appears not to work on KDE.
Known limitation on KDE:
• The menu interaction (Super + Left Mouse Button) does not work properly
• This seems to be GNOME-specific behavior
This is not official KDE support, just a temporary way to get DesktopPuppet running on KDE until (or if) native support is added in the future.
Hope this is useful for documentation, troubleshooting, or reference.
