I quite regularly (last time today) come across packages that cannot be installed by opam due to some build error. I have the feeling that OS X is less well tested. So I think a build bot running OS X would be especially useful -- of course I'm motivated mainly by self-interest.
I guess one would probably want the most recent OS X which is what most people use, and use homebrew for some dependencies.
