Good resources for this:

(1) "Is Water H2O?" (book) and (2) the classic Thomas Kuhn book

This is the main important idea, how to debate someone across a different a paradigm:

if you & I have the same axioms, we can debate and get consensus. If we have different axioms, then we can see how we respond to the shared reality we live in. Aggregating over that gives you the best answers. There's no reason to stick to one paradigm in science.
