[Bug] Doesn't work on samsung devices. (May be device specific issue)

The app works perfectly fine but the screen doesn't stay awake.

Most likely OS is killing the app. Tested on S23, android 16, due to battery optimization. Will be fixing in the next update.
As a workaround, you can try add the app in battery optimization setting so it won't kill the app.

Hey,
I did try to fix it in latest update 1.2.0
Please test and let me know if it fixed since I don't have Samsung device to test on.
Also make sure you give permission for battery optimization so Samsung UI won't kill the app.

The app works when it's open but not when it's closed (when I use the Quick Setting Tile or the Widget).

Also just to clarify, it works when app is opened and in recent apps but it doesn't work when you close or remove from recent apps. Correct me if I'm wrong.

update: Try below workarounds. I dont think I can do anything from the code side. its just samsung is too aggressive on battery optimization thing so it kills when you close the app.

1. Exempt Battery Optimization
   Settings > Apps > ☰ (3 dots) > Special access > Optimize battery usage > All apps > Coffee > Don't optimize.
   ​

2. Unrestricted Battery
   Settings > Apps > Coffee > Battery > Unrestricted.
   ​

3. Never Sleeping
   Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Background usage limits > Never sleeping apps > Add > Coffee.
   ​

4. Adaptive Battery Off
   Settings > Battery > Background usage limits > ☰ > Adaptive battery > Off.
   ​

5. Lock in Recents (Key for Swipe)
   Open Recent apps (square button) > Long-press Coffee card/icon > Lock this task (padlock).

6. Extra
   Device care > Battery > ☰ > Auto disable unused apps > Off for Coffee.
   Reboot after changes.

Verify
Run Coffee > Minimize > Wait 10min > Screen stays on.
Swipe test: Only after unlocking recents.
