Why repo different than "auto_calib_v2.0"?

Running "auto_calib_v2.0" from the SensorCalibration repository (supposedly this same approach) works perfectly for me. However, this code repo finally compiles and runs, but the results are not converging on the solution. Why were certain changes made between these two repositories? How do we get this repository working like auto_calib_v2.0?

For anyone wondering. Sensor Calibration is this repository's version of June 8 2023 801fbc2

The differences I spotted is that Sensor Calibration has quite a few more hard-coded parameters.
