I have clicked update now and it seems to break the openclaw gateway dashboard.

I had to uninstall and reinstall the app to fix it. Losing all my history.

Wondering if there is a way to back up locally and restore my chat sessions in both the dashboard and codex

google play restricts file system wide access, but if you download apk from github, you can connect storage and then you can ask codex or openclaw to do chat backups to sdcard like every day

File accesses grayed out and won't let me turn that on.

Also unable to install this on my version of Android

you need go to App info (by holdong app icon) -> Allow restricted settings
