Project SHALL have one branch (“[main]”) that always holds the latest in-progress version

Currently this repo has 4 branches, one of which is used by GitHub pages to power the demo, but per https://rfc.zeromq.org/spec/42/#25-branches-and-releases there should be only one branch.
