PortaRF in HackRF mode not connecting to USB-C port on my Windows PC #4

Description

@gozillah

Describe the bug.

My Windows PC detects my genuine HackRF one when connecting it via a USB-Micro to USB-A cable to a USB-A port of my PC.

But my Windows PC does not detect my PortaRF in HackRF mode when connecting it via a data-capable USB-C to USB-C cable to a USB-C port of my Windows PC:
C:\hackrftools>hackrf_info.exe
hackrf_info version: git-7047252
libhackrf version: git-7047252 (0.6)
No HackRF boards found.

On the other hand, when connecting my PortaRF to my Windows PC over a USB-Micro to USB-A cable, everything works as expected:
C:\hackrftools>hackrf_info.exe
hackrf_info version: git-7047252
libhackrf version: git-7047252 (0.6)
Found HackRF
Index: 0
Serial number: 0000000000000000752869d928296117
Board ID Number: 2 (HackRF One)
Firmware Version: v2.4.0 (API:1.11)
Part ID Number: 0xa000cb3c 0xbc6f433f

Reproduction

  1. Switch PortaRF on
  2. Select HackRF mode
  3. Connect PortaRF via a data-capable USB-C to USB-C cable to a USB-C port of a running Windows PC.
  4. No "detected" sound is heard from Windows and hackrf_info.exe will not detect a HackRF board.

Expected behavior

  1. Switch PortaRF on
  2. Select HackRF mode
  3. Connect PortaRF via a data-capable USB-C to USB-C cable to a USB-C port of a running Windows PC.
  4. Windows emits "detected" sound.
  5. Run hackrf_info.exe:
    C:\hackrftools>hackrf_info.exe
    hackrf_info version: git-7047252
    libhackrf version: git-7047252 (0.6)
    Found HackRF
