bass booster option on Fiio JM21

So after using a Sony Xperia 5V, Xiaomi 15, Pixel 10 Pro and OnePlus 15, I am finally back to a Fiio JM21 player being used in my car to stream music through bluetooth. The wavelet app on JM21 DAP works just OK. I have full functionality in Legacy mode but the bass boost option despite being on has no effect on music after a couple of hours. At this point, I need to turn off and turn on wavelet app to get the Bass boost functionality back. Can you please support with this issue? @Pittvandewitt

On further inspection, all functionalities of the app stop working. They appear to be on in app but moving sliders do not have any effect on sound. Once the app is turned off and on again using the power toggle, everything starts working normally. I have disabled all battery optimizations and the issue still persists
