DNS

Right now Yggdrasil does not have a standard DNS system; here is a list of DNS systems you can use.

ICANN

Pros:

• Easy to use
• No installation

Cons:

• Cost money to register a domain name
• Doesn't work if you don't have access to the Clearnet
• Relies on centralization

ALFIS

Pros:

• Uses blockchain to "register" domain names
• Uses .ygg and .anon for TLD

Cons:

• Can be hard to install
• Needs computing power to mine

Meshname

Pros:

• No need to "register" a domain
• It just works
• Uses .meship, .meshname, and .ygg for TLD

Cons:

• Domains look kind of ugly

YggNS

Pros:

• 3 different domain variants
• Uses .ygg as a TLD
• Allows subdomains

Cons:

• Domains look bad
