Can the patch be used for vasp5 not vasp6?

Dear developers,

I noticed that "The patch file vasp.6.2.1_U-patch.21.08 (patch version 21.08) has been tested for the VASP version 6.2.1." But we only have the VASP version 5.4.4. I would like to ask if this patch can be used for vasp5?

Dear user,
that's correct, we have not tested the patch for older VASP versions. However, you might try to apply the patch, and it should work. You might test your patched VASP version, by comparing your results with those proposed in the tutorial included in the b4vasp documentation.
