With default d2gi.ini the intro video and menu looks as a checkerboard garbage if it's first run, and as just artefact garbage if game were launched before:
The app is still responsible to keyboard, it is possible to skip the intro video, and start new game, then it appears good, and game starts correctly in native resolution. But videos on events ("unrecoverable", "caught by police", etc) are broken (displaying as a garbage). Also if exit to menu, garbage appear instead of it. The left-pane mini-menu, the choice screen on "unrecoverable" (after throw the car into river :) ) state and the pager are okay.

Tried to change options in d2gi.ini.
Found that fullscreen mode makes black screen instead of garbage. Windowed mode is similar to borderless (except that the window border is fine). But, if set D2GI resolution to 640x480-799x599 pixels, everything starts working as need (except fullscreen). Intro video, menu, game, event videos. Setting resolution to 800x600 breaks intro video, but menu and even in-game event videos are good. And setting even to 801x601 breaks all videos and menu (no difference to 1400x1050). Fullscreen mode does not work in any resolution. However, setting 0/0 or real resolution and borderless is enough for me.
Other INI file options does not change the bug.
Software: Windows XP SP3, official ATI drivers v7.99 by MSI, King.exe v8.2, latest D2GI v0.4.
Hardware: MSI MegaBook M510C: Intel Celeron M 360 (Banias), ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 64MB onboard, Realtek AC'97 audio, 512 MB of RAM, 100 GB HDD.
