Permission Error | An error has occured | Rocket League

I tried downloading Rocket League twice to my external hard drive, everytime it gets to 100% this pops up with this error message saying no permission, what could be the issue? I've put the error message code down below as well as a screen shot. Please help :)

From what I can infer, this is the windows version running inside a compatibility layer. Which compatibility layer and what is the host OS?

Uhm i'm using Sikarugir to install Rare through my Macbook, if that's what you were asking :D and it's using Wine.

I just tried with Wine on Linux, and I can't say that I can reproduce the issue. I think this should be reported to Sikarugir first, and see if they know what is going on with their Wine. I have no experience with either Sikarugir or the MacOS compatibility tools.

That being said, the issue manifests as a permission problem, so make sure you indeed do have correct permissions for that drive. For what it's work the file that it is trying to create is the dot-directory .egstore

Feel free to reference this issue there though. I will leave it open.
