I feel frustrated having to log in via code in the browser and a text file; adding a faster, more convenient login method—like the original launcher has—would be great.

For this to be implemented, Rare would need to be shipped with pywebview, which caused issues in the past as users were trying to "debloat" their systems as much as possible, and removing edge's webview component from their Windows installation. As such, this feature has been made un-available. I might consider bringing back the webview integration, but as a feature this is not provided by Rare, but rather Epics web login.

Para que isso fosse implementado, o Rare precisaria ser distribuído com o pywebview, o que causou problemas no passado, pois os usuários tentavam "desinflar" seus sistemas o máximo possível e removiam o componente webview do Edge de suas instalações do Windows. Sendo assim, esse recurso foi desativado. Posso considerar trazer de volta a integração com o webview, mas como um recurso, ele não é fornecido pelo Rare, e sim pelo login web da Epic.

Sorry, I thought you just had to import device_auths.json into the launcher and access your account there, since your account is saved as a file
