There are some LSDs in NE of BC cannot be converted. for example: 02-32-081-15W6.

The survey markers in this library don't extend that far. I would need the coordinates for the corners of each section around the area of Fort St. John to add this support.

I don't know off-hand where a source for those coordinates might be found. If you do locate them I'd be happy to integrate them into the library.

Hi Racine, not sure if it helps, but i found an open dataset at: https://ostrnrcan-dostrncan.canada.ca/entities/publication/f7c64532-3c5d-4cbd-896d-081ed9edb4a4. Hopefully you can find the dataset of the Peace River area of British Columbia (Dominion Land Survey grid). Good luck.

@b-reklass I've pushed a utility https://github.com/RaysceneNS/SurveyGridLibrary/tree/master/DlsResourceUtil which contains a CSV file of all the known coordinates for the sections, this is the file that needs to be extended to include the lat/longs for the section corners of the peace river block. There is also a small console program in that same DlsResourceUtil folder that will prepare the csv coordinates into a format for this library to use.

This additional data has never been merged into the main project.

Is there any reason that this seemingly more complete data set wouldn't be accepted as the default now?

I am just trying to sus out whether it is worth / safe to try to merge this into our local copy or if there is something we will lose in the process?

@b-reklass were you able to regenerate the gz file with the data from northern BC? If so would you be able to share it?
